After 7 played minutes Club Atlético Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Federico Mazzocchi. 8 minutes into the game, Róbert Benkó cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andrea Vinciguerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Róbert Benkó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Vinciguerra having to make a save. Club Atlético Tigre's Andrea Vinciguerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Benkó in the 13th minute of play. Federico Mazzocchi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Benkó in the 16th minute of play forced Club Atlético Tigre's goalkeeper Andrea Vinciguerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Vinciguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Benkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Andrea Vinciguerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rivaldo Esquerdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Tigre defense, Róbert Benkó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrea Vinciguerra. The Club Atlético Tigre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrea Vinciguerra should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Armada's Ma Feng Sen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cesare Di Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Róbert Benkó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Róbert Benkó sped through Club Atlético Tigre's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrea Vinciguerra. Rivaldo Esquerdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 44 minutes, Róbert Benkó made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Tigre's Andrea Vinciguerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Armada were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adriano Pugliese to make the kick off. Andrea Vinciguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Benkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes, Alexander Pesce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Tigre and the Armada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Tigre's Alexander Pesce got a free kick in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Tigre's zone, Róbert Benkó stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Vinciguerra came out of the goal and Róbert Benkó tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Vinciguerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Benkó in the 57th minute of the match. Armada's Ştefan Grama got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Vinciguerra having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbert Benkó got free with Andrea Vinciguerra in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Róbert Benkó reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrea Vinciguerra. The goal made the score 0-6. Andrea Vinciguerra was a little too slow when Róbert Benkó got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-7. Andrea Vinciguerra made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Róbert Benkó sent off a good shot on target. Armada's Róbert Benkó got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Tigre's Federico Mazzocchi got a free kick in the 77th minute. Róbert Benkó blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Vinciguerra having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Róbert Benkó took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Andrea Vinciguerra to make any attempt to save it. Róbert Benkó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armada played a much better game than Club Atlético Tigre and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Tigre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
