In the 8thth minute of the game Adriano Pugliese who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 20 de Março FC's Renan Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, 林泉海 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 20 de Março FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but 林泉海 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Pesce's late challenge caught a 20 de Março FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Pesce helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Club Atlético Tigre got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Pesce. The 20 de Março FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when 20 de Março FC's 林泉海 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Andrea Vinciguerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytuğ Sabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Cesare Di Felice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Evaristo da Mata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Andrea Vinciguerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Vinciguerra having to interfere. 林泉海 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo da Mata in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Vinciguerra saved Club Atlético Tigre from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Evaristo da Mata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 20 de Março FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Aytuğ Sabi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Andrea Vinciguerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aytuğ Sabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrea Vinciguerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aytuğ Sabi in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Evaristo da Mata put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Andrea Vinciguerra. 45 minutes into the match, 林泉海 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Vinciguerra. Club Atlético Tigre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 林泉海 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Aparecido to strike the kick off in the second half. When Marcel Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the 20 de Março FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Velasco couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Tigre's zone, Marcel Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Vinciguerra came out of the goal and Marcel Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Vinciguerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by 林泉海 in the 56th minute. Marcel Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Vinciguerra having to interfere. Dennis Loreto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Evaristo da Mata from long distance, 63 minutes into the match, got Andrea Vinciguerra's attention. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Percy Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 de Março FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrea Vinciguerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 de Março FC's Percy Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Tigre's goalkeeper Andrea Vinciguerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Percy Berger. When Evaristo da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the 20 de Março FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo da Mata couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute, Adriano Pugliese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, 林泉海 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 97th minute, Marcel Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over 20 de Março FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Tigre throughout the match.
