The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Simão in the 2nd minute of play forced ÇALIMLI's goalkeeper Derya Çakır to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 de Março FC's Zé Simão was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Pedro Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Derya Çakır made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Simão in the 12th minute. Pedro Aparecido received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Derya Çakır came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Aparecido slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 18th minute. Zé Simão took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derya Çakır. Derya Çakır dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 29th minute, Olaf Pietrasz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís Alvarenga hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 20 de Março FC were furious when José Augusto Viana was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 31st minute, one of 20 de Março FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 20 de Março FC. Enginalp İnanoğlu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. André Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, ÇALIMLI's Barnabé Amice sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renan Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Derya Çakır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Cruz in the 38th minute of play. The corner led 20 de Março FC's Zé Simão to fire away a dangerous shot which Derya Çakır despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Simão in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derya Çakır prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Barnabé Amice made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Zé Simão made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. ÇALIMLI's Derya Çakır tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind ÇALIMLI's goalkeeper Derya Çakır, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 de Março FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after ÇALIMLI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Olaf Pietrasz took the corner. A well done corner resulted in André Sörman drilling the ball in to score 7-0 behind ÇALIMLI's goalkeeper. Enginalp İnanoğlu hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Olaf Pietrasz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derya Çakır saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Simão might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Derya Çakır. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Simão ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th match minute, ÇALIMLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atalay Akadlı to maneuver through the defense. ÇALIMLI's Derya Çakır played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Pietrasz in the 75th minute of play. André Sörman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Zé Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. 20 de Março FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derya Çakır breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the ÇALIMLI defense, Zé Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Derya Çakır. The ÇALIMLI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Derya Çakır should have stopped the shot. Derya Çakır made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Sörman in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ÇALIMLI's zone, Gláuber Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derya Çakır came out of the goal and Gláuber Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When 20 de Março FC's Zé Simão in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ÇALIMLI's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in ÇALIMLI's zone, André Sörman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derya Çakır came out of the goal and André Sörman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, 20 de Março FC's Zé Simão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derya Çakır narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Derya Çakır showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Sörman in the 97th minute of the match. 20 de Março FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
