Nicolai Otamendi kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Don Cabezon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nenko Reza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8thth minute of the game Kıraç Uskan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dacian Nițescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Makaay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Makaay got free with Dacian Nițescu in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 39 minutes, Roy Makaay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Makaay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute of the match, Roy Makaay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dacian Nițescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th match minute, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Cabezon to maneuver through the defense. After the first half AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Makaay to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Villaverde Celeste Clube:s goal. Roy Makaay placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Roy Makaay made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Gorri Sañudo. Roy Makaay took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Nițescu. Dacian Nițescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Iordache Barboni fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's protests and gave Iordache Barboni a yellow card for diving instead. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw was substituted for Don Cabezon. The crowd rose to their feet as AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nenko Reza. That made the score 1-4 after 95 minutes of play.
