An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Borges in the 8th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Makaay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Feng Chao Wei made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feng Chao Wei. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. In the 18th minute Pelayo Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Borges in the 23rd minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Verde FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erivaldo Borges in the 24th minute. Roy Makaay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feng Chao Wei having to interfere. Edmund Wawrukiewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 32 minutes Villa Verde FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guo Ao who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Guo Ao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villa Verde FC's Feng Chao Wei did a great save. Feng Chao Wei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guo Ao in the 34th minute. Roy Makaay came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Feng Chao Wei could save by the left post. Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelayo Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dida Viana in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Roy Makaay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feng Chao Wei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Grigore Coroian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nenko Reza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute Villa Verde FC were awarded a corner. Erivaldo Borges went to the cornerflag to take it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Villa Verde FC's Belmiro Borges was substituted for Durval Leão. The wind increased when Roy Makaay made the kick off in the second half. Feng Chao Wei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Nenko Reza made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Erivaldo Borges sent off a good shot on target. Feng Chao Wei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 56th minute of the match. Feng Chao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Villaverde Celeste Clube from getting a goal against them. Nenko Reza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dida Viana in the 68th minute. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Cearense in the 71st minute of the match. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelayo Mendez in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, one of Villa Verde FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Villa Verde FC:s Feng Chao Wei showed great skill when he stopped Roy Makaay:s penalty. Nenko Reza made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Luís Guilherme Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Cearense in the 78th minute of play. Feng Chao Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Roy Makaay came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Villaverde Celeste Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Makaay couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Villa Verde FC's Du Yue Yun got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 98th minute, Erivaldo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Verde FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaverde Celeste Clube.
