In the 16th minute Adrián Espadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 16th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrián Espadas in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Paraibano saved FÊNIX F.C. from getting behind. 26 minutes into the game, Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 32 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Amador Venceslao. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián Espadas in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Paraibano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Adrián Espadas notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano. Alfredo Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Espadas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Bengt Bouchard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FÊNIX F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Bouchard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marquinhos Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. In the 78th minute of the match Kauã Moreno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Armani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Răzvan Necula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arthur Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Loureiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 89th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Răzvan Necula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Paraibano having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Soroca F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
