After taking down the ball on Villa Verde FC's corner Francisco Veloso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Orlando Nogueira quite easily take care of the ball. Villa Verde FC's Damian Mouricio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Brasil in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Saul Goodman took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Orlando Nogueira to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
