With an all-out effort, LOI's Ariel Mourelatos threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Özgür Özbay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sulo Montaña in the 7th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Özgür Özbay succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Modestio in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Buturugã saved LOI from getting behind. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Özbay in the 20th minute of play. Mario Alberto Abascal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LOI's George Buturugã played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Alberto Abascal in the 25th minute of play. Amboy FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wang Hai in the 27th minute. Mario Alberto Abascal was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Ariel Mourelatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sulo Montaña in the 29th minute of play. Ariel Mourelatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Özbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerio Spadoni in the 39th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LOI made a substitution. Eriberto Segio replaced Kaan Öztanır. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sulo Montaña made the kick off in the second half. Sulo Montaña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
