AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro de Godoi in the 12th minute of play. Valdomiro de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Fausto da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdomiro de Godoi in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Bykowski in the 18th minute. In the 18th match minute, AFC - Curitiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by August Wahlnäs to maneuver through the defense. AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro de Godoi in the 23rd minute of play. Despite this Fausto da Rocha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lino Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, AFC - Curitiba's Matouš Carda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 42 minutes, Matouš Carda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC - Curitiba and the Romando Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes AFC - Curitiba got a freekick which was hit by Matouš Carda. Valdomiro de Godoi scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto da Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Romando Futebol Clube were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romário Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valdomiro de Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Romando Futebol Clube's Valdomiro de Godoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto da Rocha. That made the score 1-3 after 60 minutes of play. With a little luck, AFC - Curitiba's Fausto da Rocha got control of the ball when Niva Bellido tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Bellido in the 69th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Fausto da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Wahlnäs in the 78th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Wahlnäs in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, August Wahlnäs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC - Curitiba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. André Sundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niva Bellido took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto da Rocha. Fausto da Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Fausto da Rocha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niva Bellido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-6 in the 95 minute of play.
