But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Faria couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the game, Relyn Futebol Clube's Felipe Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Biagio Furino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Paraná Clube Brasil's Pedro Carvalho got a free kick in the 18th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Santos in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Biagio Furino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Biagio Furino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Santos in the 22nd minute of play. Frederico Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Biagio Furino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Carvalho made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Giovani Batista. 39 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Munhoz came free, but Durval Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Relyn Futebol Clube booed when Paraná Clube Brasil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Santos came free, but Biagio Furino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felipe Santos to make the kick off. Biagio Furino was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Felipe Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felipe Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Relyn Futebol Clube's Felipe Santos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Biagio Furino. That made the score 1-5 after 57 minutes of play. 60 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's Michael Åkerström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Biagio Furino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraná Clube Brasil's goalkeeper Biagio Furino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Relyn Futebol Clube's corner Romeo Cangeopol fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Biagio Furino quite easily take care of the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Relyn Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tymoteusz Lemiesz to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biagio Furino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Biagio Furino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Felipe Santos made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 68thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Biagio Furino would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 70th minute of the match Relyn Futebol Clube got a corner. Paraná Clube Brasil's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romeo Cangeopol ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Felipe Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Biagio Furino was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Pedro Carvalho made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Frederico Pontes however managed to control. Biagio Furino was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Felipe Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felipe Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Raimundo Faria was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Relyn Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Romeo Cangeopol in the 80th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Walter Samuel advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-7 in the 80th minute. Felipe Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Biagio Furino made a huge save. Paraná Clube Brasil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Felipe Santos scored to the left of an out of position Biagio Furino, making the score, 1-8. Biagio Furino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Santos in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute, Felipe Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Relyn Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Relyn Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
