In the 16thth minute of the game Wellington Pires who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vista Alegre FC's Ronaldo de Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Altamirano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hudson Gaúcho. Austra VFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Altamirano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Vista Alegre FC's Ronaldo de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Pires in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Altamirano in the 35th minute of play forced Austra VFC's goalkeeper Hudson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson Gaúcho was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Rodrigo Altamirano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodrigo Altamirano really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ronaldo de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Vianna in the 42nd minute of the match. Ronaldo de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Vianna's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Altamirano was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Altamirano in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hudson Gaúcho saved Austra VFC from getting behind. Rodrigo Altamirano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hudson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austra VFC's Hudson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Altamirano in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Austra VFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Igor Souza was slow to take the kick. During this time Vista Alegre FC's players had a chance to rest. Rodrigo Altamirano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Vista Alegre FC's corner Rodrigo Altamirano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hudson Gaúcho quite easily take care of the ball. Walmyr Tasso got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Belo Ponta. After some careless play in the Austra VFC defense, Luisinho Laguna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hudson Gaúcho. The Austra VFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute Luisinho Laguna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Vista Alegre FC's Ronaldo de Moraes got control of the ball when Wellington Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hudson Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Laguna in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Luisinho Laguna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0.
