The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Sten Andrejević managed to get in a good position for a shot. ROSÁRIO SPORT's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Andrejević was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Andrejević in the 6th minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Durval Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Luiz Corrêa made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Luiz Fabiano Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Felipe Santos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luiz Corrêa to make any attempt to save it. Sten Andrejević took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Marinho. Durval Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Santos in the 26th minute of play forced ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Andrejević in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa got control of the ball when Felipe Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Ademar Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Andrejević in the 44th minute of play. Relyn Futebol Clube's Raimundo Faria quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dean Harvey, made in the 46th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sten Andrejević was the one to do the kick off. Tymoteusz Lemiesz kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Relyn Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tymoteusz Lemiesz hit a great ball. Dean Harvey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Durval Marinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dean Harvey. The audience was convinced that Sten Andrejević's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Marinho was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, Sten Andrejević notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Relyn Futebol Clube's Durval Marinho. Durval Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Sten Andrejević had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 71 minutes of play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Marinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Relyn Futebol Clube booed when ROSÁRIO SPORT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, ROSÁRIO SPORT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Furlan to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind ROSÁRIO SPORT's goalkeeper Luiz Corrêa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 89 minutes ROSÁRIO SPORT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romeo Cangeopol who took care of the corner kick. 90 minutes into the game, Tymoteusz Lemiesz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Relyn Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ROSÁRIO SPORT the free kick. A collision led to Relyn Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tymoteusz Lemiesz hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Sten Andrejević hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
