The supporters of FC Silesia Bohumín booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxim Tadici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Abar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eduardo Pereyra firmly grabbed it by the left post. 4 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Abar. When Ion Neguțu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New York Red Bulls's protests and gave Ion Neguțu a yellow card for diving instead. Ion Neguțu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Raus in the 14th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nazım Taci in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincenc Ehrenberger saved FC Silesia Bohumín from getting behind. Vincenc Ehrenberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazım Taci in the 16th minute of the match. Eduardo Pereyra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Fröhlich in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, FC Silesia Bohumín's goal looked a bit too open when Benni Farbøl came free, but Vincenc Ehrenberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincenc Ehrenberger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benni Farbøl's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes, Nazım Taci made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Silesia Bohumín's Vincenc Ehrenberger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ion Neguțu hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Kai-Arne Homme made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Pereyra. New York Red Bulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. FC Silesia Bohumín's Vincenc Ehrenberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazım Taci in the 33rd minute of play. Vincenc Ehrenberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazım Taci, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Cazimir Giosu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Eduardo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Raus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Silesia Bohumín's Lino Abar got a free kick in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Nazım Taci made the kick off in the second half. Benni Farbøl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Vincenc Ehrenberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Silesia Bohumín's Vincenc Ehrenberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Silesia Bohumín from getting a goal against them. In the 63rdth minute of the game Nazım Taci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Silesia Bohumín's Vincenc Ehrenberger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 65 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Nazım Taci. After a rather tough play, FC Silesia Bohumín's Markus Raus got a free kick in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Fröhlich came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Pavel Fröhlich notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra. Eduardo Pereyra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute Nazım Taci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincenc Ehrenberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Pereyra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Fröhlich in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Antonio Grygar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Silesia Bohumín fans cheered their team off the field, for while New York Red Bulls had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
