Vincenc Ehrenberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Astozas in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, MILAN's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Fröhlich came free, but Szymon Erland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Raus in the 12th minute of play forced MILAN's goalkeeper Szymon Erland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, MILAN's Szymon Erland got control of the ball when Pavel Fröhlich tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Szymon Erland managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when FC Silesia Bohumín's Lino Abar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lino Abars short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Szymon Erland to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of MILAN booed when FC Silesia Bohumín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai-Arne Homme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. MILAN's Szymon Erland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Fröhlich in the 74th minute of play. 74 minutes in the game, Pavel Fröhlich dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. FC Silesia Bohumín's Vincenc Ehrenberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Salvator in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, MILAN's goal looked a bit too open when Kai-Arne Homme came free, but Szymon Erland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Pavel Fröhlich left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Silesia Bohumín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vincenc Ehrenberger was a little too slow when Octavio Salvator got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 1-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of MILAN were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Silesia Bohumín side.
