After 14 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Palos. Simbo FC were furious when Delmar Eguerdi was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Delmar Eguerdi got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by J.P. Cruz. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when CRUZ DEL SUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Manuel Guilisasti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Brion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octavio Lauaxeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdul Esquerra in the 52nd minute. Amato Heyboer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Mouricio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Brion in the 66th minute of play forced CRUZ DEL SUR's goalkeeper Amato Heyboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Serafín Cossio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CRUZ DEL SUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simbo FC the free kick. Simbo FC's Octavio Lauaxeta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. Paco Cabedos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Octavio Lauaxeta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 87thth minute of the game Feliberto Mouricio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CRUZ DEL SUR's Amato Heyboer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abdul Esquerra's late challenge caught a Simbo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdul Esquerra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Abdul Esquerra hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the game, Jonas Brion cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Amato Heyboer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
