Diego Tajo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvio Illart. Elvio Illart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Diego Tajo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Illart having to make a save. After 33 minutes of play, Achtung Babies's Adan Txeru made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Illart was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eleuterio Lamberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Achtung Babies's Adan Txeru got a free kick in the 59th minute. Bishen Cana hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Elvio Illart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Peña in the 66th minute of the match. Elvio Illart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Tajo in the 72nd minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match Achtung Babies got a corner. Mercado Paulista F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Peña ran over to the corner to take the kick. Elvio Illart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Txeru, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Achtung Babies eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
