In the 6th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Milito to maneuver through the defense. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Fliz in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Academia Club booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Inautzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Inautzi came free, but Aureliano Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Deportivo Balvanera's Diego Milito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aureliano Pacifico was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Diego Milito put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Aureliano Pacifico. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Club's zone, Diego Milito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Pacifico came out of the goal and Diego Milito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Fliz in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliano Pacifico saved Academia Club from getting behind. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Milito in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Fliz came free, but Aureliano Pacifico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-3 became the score in the 44th minute when Diego Milito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florencio Telesforo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Balvanera's Leandro Cordarin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 52nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 55th minute, Leandro Cordarin made a precise shot to the right of Aureliano Pacifico. Academia Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Nikola during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Hugo Nikola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Gilberto Inautzi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aureliano Pacifico skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severiano Taurino got free with Aureliano Pacifico in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Milito in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aureliano Pacifico, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aureliano Pacifico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Milito in the 68th minute of the match. A well placed Diego Milito short distance shot in the 73rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Aureliano Pacifico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Milito's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Milito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aureliano Pacifico. That made the score 0-8 in the 79 minute of play. After 81 played minutes, Deportivo Balvanera's Venancio Chaime shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aureliano Pacifico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Balvanera reached it. Aureliano Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Milito in the 82nd minute of play. Omar Fliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Omar Fliz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 89 in the game by Diego Milito from a close distance when the talented Aureliano Pacifico managed to make a qualified save. Academia Club's players were relieved. In the 92nd minute, Diego Milito reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aureliano Pacifico. The goal made the score 0-10. Deportivo Balvanera's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
