Angel Gonza's late challenge caught a Mercado Paulista F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Albano Kepa. Aureliano Pacifico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Orixe in the 40th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esteban Orixe to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Eliazar in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliano Pacifico saved Academia Club from getting behind. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Orixe in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Dolfo in the 65th minute of play forced Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Elvio Illart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that German Laurentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aureliano Pacifico was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Aureliano Pacifico came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercado Paulista F.C's Esteban Orixe. But to his dismay, Esteban Orixe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esteban Orixe in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aureliano Pacifico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aureliano Pacifico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Orixe's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Academia Club's Aureliano Pacifico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Orixe in the 85th minute of play. Academia Club's Hugo Nikola got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Orixe in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliano Pacifico saved Academia Club from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Academia Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
