In the 14th minute Sandro Caires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klement Rozanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Pádua kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club V290's goalkeeper Klement Rozanski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Pádua's late challenge caught a Club V290's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Pádua helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vargens FC's Paulo Pádua got a free kick in the 18th minute. If Kjetil von Bülow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Vilela kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Sandro Caires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vargens FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Caires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klement Rozanski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Vargens FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 45th minute, Club V290's Uwe Voß dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Torgny Mellin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjetil von Bülow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Club V290 made a substitution. Franz Surmann replaced Stephan Weisskirchen. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandro Caires to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Vargens FC's Teodoro Vilela got a free kick in the 57th minute. 韩卫崇 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. When Paulo Ruas fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vargens FC's protests and gave Paulo Ruas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vargens FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
