Aristides Videla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Da Nang's Nghiêm Xuan tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the EL RUBIO FC defense, Đinh Huỳnh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laureano Domínguez. The EL RUBIO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Domínguez should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alcadio Garachena in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Nam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, EL RUBIO FC's Aristides Videla got a free kick in the 56th minute. Nguyễn Nam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Parot in the 60th minute of the match. Florencio Parot struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. If Đinh Huỳnh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The EL RUBIO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. EL RUBIO FC had played much better football throughout.
