Västerhaninge IFK's Fred Ahlstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Werra in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Cwojdak in the 8th minute of play forced Västerhaninge IFK's goalkeeper Fred Ahlstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivar Elg got free with Betão Pontes in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 12th minute of play forced Västerhaninge IFK's goalkeeper Fred Ahlstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Olgierd Cwojdak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Ahlstedt. Västerhaninge IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olgierd Cwojdak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Ivar Elg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Betão Pontes. In the 37th minute, Cezary Kasiewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fred Ahlstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fred Ahlstedt came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by GKS Katowice's Olgierd Cwojdak. But to his dismay, Olgierd Cwojdak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When GKS Katowice's Cezary Kasiewski in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Västerhaninge IFK's goalie prevented a goal.

The wind increased when Lucjan Werra made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, GKS Katowice's Borys Kiszkiel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fred Ahlstedt. Fred Ahlstedt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Orvar Forsberg lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Västerhaninge IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Ahlstedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Borys Kiszkiel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fred Ahlstedt. Västerhaninge IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Borys Kiszkiel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Fred Ahlstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Birkenhagen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After some careless play in the Västerhaninge IFK defense, Ludomir Zacharek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Ahlstedt. The Västerhaninge IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Ahlstedt should have stopped the shot. Fred Ahlstedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ludomir Zacharek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 89 minute of play. Fred Ahlstedt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-9. GKS Katowice played a much better game than Västerhaninge IFK and deserved their victory. The Västerhaninge IFK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
