Dante Fernendo made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Uriel Isias sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Uriel Isias took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Dante Fernendo to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Urbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Matias Bilintx. Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Curcio in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Juniors FC got a freekick which was hit by Prospero Furman. Armando Urbes kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Juniors FC's Lázaro Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Maradona in the 43rd minute of play. When Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Juniors FC's goalie prevented a goal. Uriel Isias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Fernendo having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Bilintx to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Juniors FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Rufo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Juniors FC's Uriel Isias got a free kick in the 54th minute. Uriel Isias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lázaro Colon made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Diego Maradona sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juniors FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nicanor Porfirio in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Nicanor Porfirio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Fernendo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eustacio Loiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Colon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Frasco in the 70th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Curcio got free with Lázaro Colon in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Frasco's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Dante Fernendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Juniors FC were awarded a corner. Nicanor Porfirio went to the cornerflag to take it. Dante Fernendo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Frasco's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 94 minutes into the match, Juniors FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Colon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matias Bilintx.
