Corder Clubley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halil Winskowsky in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Moritz Bähnert came free, but Corder Clubley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birk Tritz hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's Braedan Wayland broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 12th minute of the match, Ed Skittrall got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johann Scheuerer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Oliver Dorn in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Moritz Bähnert came free, but Corder Clubley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 18 in the game by Ed Skittrall from a close distance when the talented Johann Scheuerer managed to make a qualified save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ed Skittrall got free with Johann Scheuerer in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kenneth Limmer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johann Scheuerer came out and tried to block the shot, but Kenneth Limmer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Drake Annis hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Rot-Weiss-Essen:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elderslie Magpies:s goal. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Elderslie Magpies's Ed Skittrall got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Johann Scheuerer. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ed Skittrall made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Moritz Bähnert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corder Clubley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 59thth minute of the game Kenneth Limmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ed Skittrall during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ed Skittrall kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Elderslie Magpies's Corder Clubley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Elderslie Magpies from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sven Börger hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Braedan Wayland shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johann Scheuerer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Johann Scheuerer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Limmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Ed Skittrall came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Elderslie Magpies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Skittrall couldn't finish the play. With his leg Corder Clubley managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Rot-Weiss-Essen's Halil Winskowsky fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sascha Andre Rennert hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Elderslie Magpies walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
