Henrique Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johann Scheuerer having to interfere. Angelo Wesseling hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Leonel Coelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johann Scheuerer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Johann Scheuerer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Miranda's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The supporters of Raining Blood booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sascha Andre Rennert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Henrique Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johann Scheuerer was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 25thth minute of the game Leonel Coelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Johann Scheuerer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johann Scheuerer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Coelho in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Henrique Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johann Scheuerer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Johann Scheuerer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Miranda's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Raining Blood booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halil Winskowsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven Börger hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Coelho in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johann Scheuerer saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arbo Sachs made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Raining Blood's Rafa Severo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rafa Severo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Raining Blood protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rafa Severo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th match minute, Raining Blood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Severo to maneuver through the defense. Raining Blood made a substitution. Marcel Andrade replaced Carlos Augusto Sampaio. 61 minutes into the match, Raining Blood's Jailson Matorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johann Scheuerer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jailson Matorin struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Johann Scheuerer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raining Blood. Raining Blood made a substitution. Luiz Guilherme Trancoso replaced Henrique Miranda. In the 66th minute, Luiz Fernando Arantes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jailson Matorin might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johann Scheuerer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Matorin ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Augusto Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arbo Sachs in the 81st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Börger during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Sven Börger. 84 minutes in the game Leonel Coelho after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Johann Scheuerer. A very good opportunity. Johann Scheuerer came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Raining Blood's Jailson Matorin. But to his dismay, Jailson Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Carlos Augusto Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Oliver Dorn in the 93rd minute of play. If Luiz Guilherme Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
