The audience was convinced that Boruc Tobaczewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johann Scheuerer was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Arbo Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Halil Winskowsky's late challenge caught a ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Johann Scheuerer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Tobaczewski in the 46th minute of play. After the first half ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boruc Tobaczewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Halil Winskowsky hit a great ball. ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's Boruc Tobaczewski got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Oliver Dorn came free, but Arkadiusz Kochniarczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johann Scheuerer made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Boruc Tobaczewski sent off a good shot on target. If Iwan Gall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boruc Tobaczewski in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johann Scheuerer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's zone, Sascha Andre Rennert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkadiusz Kochniarczyk came out of the goal and Sascha Andre Rennert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
