The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Bobeanu in the 3rd minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bai Jun Chong got free with Sebastian Winszman in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelayo Contratas in the 20th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Moise Bobeanu made a precise shot to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elia Scarinci in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Scarinci came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Michel Goiano hit a great ball. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelayo Contratas in the 29th minute of play. Sebastian Winszman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tivadar Demeter, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Bobeanu in the 31st minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Moise Bobeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Szuper was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute of the match, Bai Jun Chong got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sebastian Winszman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Szombathely Squirrels's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bai Jun Chong in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moise Bobeanu got free with Arnold Szuper in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Bobeanu in the 65th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelayo Contratas in the 65th minute of play. Tivadar Demeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnold Szuper was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pelayo Contratas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Moise Bobeanu put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Arnold Szuper. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GiaSiRo 08 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
