Pelayo Contratas took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iker Casillas. Iker Casillas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when GiaSiRo 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Scarinci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Moise Bobeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Winszman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Trombatore in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 minutes GiaSiRo 08's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Demetrio Antonacci who took care of the corner kick. Iker Casillas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelayo Contratas's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Iker Casillas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelayo Contratas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Gordiani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Scarpa was slow to take the kick. During this time GiaSiRo 08's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ercole Passalacqua almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas did a great save. 38 minutes into the match, Elia Scarinci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Casillas. Villa Gordiani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elia Scarinci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pelayo Contratas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pelayo Contratas in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Casillas saved Villa Gordiani from getting behind. After 44 played minutes GiaSiRo 08 got a freekick which was hit by Elia Scarinci. 47 minutes into the match, GiaSiRo 08's goalkeeper Sebastian Winszman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anfilogino Trombatore. After the first half GiaSiRo 08 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

GiaSiRo 08 made a substitution. Dennis Giusti replaced Gustavo Scarpa. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anfilogino Trombatore stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Pelayo Contratas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Casillas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Pelayo Contratas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pelayo Contratas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elia Scarinci, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, GiaSiRo 08's Elia Scarinci got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute GiaSiRo 08 were awarded a corner. Birkan Kayra went to the cornerflag to take it. 84 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Pelayo Contratas came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Casillas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pelayo Contratas's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmondo Del Duca during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Villa Gordiani fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, was totally fooled by GiaSiRo 08's Dennis Giusti, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Pelayo Contratas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Pelayo Contratas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GiaSiRo 08 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
