Otto Kaxe kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Bonifacio Suarez with Timoteo Basualdo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Miguel Prosperi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Svanberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Ciro Gava shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Black is Back booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Peter Svanberg managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black is Back were winning 0-1.

Peter Svanberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Georg Moberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Francis struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Peter Svanberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. The corner ended in Miguel Prosperi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black is Back's Peter Svanberg did a great save. 64 minutes into the match, Black is Back's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Peter Svanberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Svanberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 69th minute of the match. Ciro Gava blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Branislav Velchevski having to make a save. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Black is Back had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
