The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when FC Pladask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Rødseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, Paralia Athens's Petre Maghiran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bjørn Engelund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paralia Athens reached it. In the 6thth minute of the game Teodor Romeo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pladask's Bjørn Engelund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teodor Romeo in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bjørn Engelund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th match minute, FC Pladask was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Inge Sollie to maneuver through the defense. Bjørn Engelund came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Paralia Athens's Petre Maghiran. But to his dismay, Petre Maghiran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Leontin Apostu fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paralia Athens's protests and gave Leontin Apostu a yellow card for diving instead. After 26 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Apostu. 27 minutes into the game, Pål Rødseth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Pladask's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paralia Athens the free kick. After 28 played minutes FC Pladask got a freekick which was hit by Pål Rødseth. In the 29th minute, Cai Drevland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Iulian Doinaș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bjørn Engelund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pladask's goalkeeper Bjørn Engelund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasile Enciulescu during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Maghiran in the 38th minute of play forced FC Pladask's goalkeeper Bjørn Engelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Iulian Doinaș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. The audience was convinced that Petre Maghiran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bjørn Engelund was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. With his leg Bjørn Engelund managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Paralia Athens's Petre Maghiran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ronny Sund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Paralia Athens players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
