After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jonathan Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Branca del Vieja's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Eutropio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damiano Masciarelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilio Maestri hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Baldomero Buinton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Maestri, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Merceron United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Jonathan Eutropio scored to the left of an out of position Damiano Masciarelli, making the score, 2-0. Baldomero Buinton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damiano Perazzolo went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Jonathan Eutropio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Damiano Masciarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Maestri made a kick off. Damiano Masciarelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Sotil in the 53rd minute of the match. Alexander Longo's late challenge caught a El Branca del Vieja's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Longo helped the player get up and apologised. El Branca del Vieja's Alfredo Mazuste was substituted for Jonathan Eutropio. After 56 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Longo. Nemesio Ubendu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Merceron United's Alexander Longo got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Alexander Longo off the ground. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Alexander Longo hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Gaston Rafe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damiano Masciarelli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dario Cardillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Baldomero Buinton made a huge save. 69 minutes into the match, Dario Cardillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baldomero Buinton, 2-2. In the 76th minute, Damiano Perazzolo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Filippo Corna hit a great ball. Damiano Masciarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Mazuste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play, El Branca del Vieja's Alfredo Mazuste made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damiano Masciarelli was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Filippo Corna hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merceron United's zone, Alfredo Mazuste stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damiano Masciarelli came out of the goal and Alfredo Mazuste tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Maestri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Baldomero Buinton made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Merceron United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Branca del Vieja.
