But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo das Neves couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Soccer Club Celans Foot getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Tião Bastos hit a great ball. Real Grasacticos's Melker Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melker Sundström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tiaguinho Pitta charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiaguinho Pitta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 19 played minutes Soccer Club Celans Foot got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Pitta. After 22 minutes, Ronny Pihlblad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Grasacticos and the Soccer Club Celans Foot players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Real Grasacticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Pihlblad to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronny Pihlblad's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Rodrigues in the 37th minute of play forced Real Grasacticos's goalkeeper Alex Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Adelino Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Soccer Club Celans Foot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Tiaguinho Pitta took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Finman. Alex Finman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ronny Pihlblad made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ciro Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soccer Club Celans Foot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Soccer Club Celans Foot's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Pihlblad came free, but Sebastião Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Vallman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jim Kellman kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Soccer Club Celans Foot's Sidnei Rosa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th minute, Aaron Vallman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arne Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aaron Vallman came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Real Grasacticos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Vallman couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Tiaguinho Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Soccer Club Celans Foot's zone, Aaron Vallman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Catarinense came out of the goal and Aaron Vallman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 played minutes Real Grasacticos got a freekick which was hit by Jim Kellman. Sebastião Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Pihlblad in the 91st minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Soccer Club Celans Foot could leave the field as winners, despite Real Grasacticos having more of the ball for most of the match.
