The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Gomes was the one to do the kick off. Pepe Santoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Ademir Siqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Lotan Otto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Celsinho Carneiro came free, but Pepe Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Siqueira scored 4-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pepe Santoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Mario Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Santoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
