The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Advíncula got free with Gabriel Chirculescu in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, 袁强耀 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half 『挑战者』曾梦想仗剑走天涯 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pepe Santoro was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Roy Makaay capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roy Makaay really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Makaay in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 83rdth minute of the game Roy Makaay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Pepe Santoro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pepe Santoro was a little too slow when Roy Makaay got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-3. Roy Makaay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
