Stig Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Massa having to interfere. Edvard Jönsätt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Jobo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Gigel Seremet came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the UFC STEAUA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigel Seremet couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute Stig Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stig Dahlberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, João Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Black Mamba's Edvard Jönsätt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Jobo in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Stig Dahlberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Massa. Stig Dahlberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. From close distance Stig Dahlberg pressed in the 0-4 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 62 minutes into the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig Dahlberg in the 70th managed to get into a good position. Edvard Jönsätt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 90th minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Göran Bocklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Mamba and the UFC STEAUA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Göran Bocklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Jobo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Edvard Jönsätt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC STEAUA. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Black Mamba had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
