Wilian Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Narciso Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Hammarbäck in the 14th minute of the match. Narciso Guimarães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mikael Hammarbäck showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Mikael Hammarbäck made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Guimarães. October 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's Mikael Hammarbäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narciso Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 25th play minutes Mikael Hammarbäck shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Narciso Guimarães and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to October 04 getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Mário Pena hit a great ball. Mikael Hammarbäck took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Guimarães. Narciso Guimarães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Narciso Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Hammarbäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Mikael Hammarbäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Wágner Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. October 04's Narciso Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Hammarbäck in the 37th minute of play. Mikael Hammarbäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Wágner Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Remigio Timo. El Branca del Vieja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wágner Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Narciso Guimarães was a little too slow when Mikael Hammarbäck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Hammarbäck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Narciso Guimarães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikael Hammarbäck's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Hammarbäck came free, but Narciso Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikael Hammarbäck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Mikael Hammarbäck made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Guimarães. October 04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 65th minute, Fellipe Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remigio Timo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. El Branca del Vieja's Filiberto Benitez was substituted for Fabian Maldonado. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Mauro Milano managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Branca del Vieja's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Milano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Narciso Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Milano, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Wilian Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilian Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Wilian Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Milano in the 77th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Narciso Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Timo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Wágner Sá's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Timo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 80 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Pernambucano. Wilian Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, October 04's Remigio Timo threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wágner Sá, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 88th play minute Wágner Sá came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Remigio Timo. 6-3. 92 minutes into the match, October 04's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Milano came free, but Narciso Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Milano in the 93rd minute of the match. Mauro Milano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Narciso Guimarães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. October 04's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
