Hermengildo Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Aparecido having to interfere. Anísio Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Jobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Nelson Mendoza made a precise shot to the right of Anísio Aparecido. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper João Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duardo Pruniel took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Massa. João Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Anísio Aparecido came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Nelson Mendoza. But to his dismay, Nelson Mendoza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Enmanuel Carte got a free kick in the 31st minute. When UFC STEAUA's Nelson Mendoza in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After 33 minutes, Nelson Mendoza made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Anísio Aparecido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Anísio Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Jobo in the 40th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duardo Pruniel to strike the kick off in the second half. Demetrio Di Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Anísio Aparecido made a huge save. 63 minutes into the match, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Mendoza came free, but Anísio Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match UFC STEAUA got a corner. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Demetrio Di Franco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Demetrio Di Franco made a great header on UFC STEAUA's corner, it was just that Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Anísio Aparecido managed to reach the ball for a save. Hermengildo Jobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Hermengildo Jobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Jobo in the 77th minute of play forced Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalkeeper Anísio Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Jobo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anísio Aparecido having to make a save. João Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentín Bello, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. UFC STEAUA were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Ornitorrincos F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demetrio Di Franco took the corner. The corner ended in Demetrio Di Franco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Anísio Aparecido did a great save. In the 94th minute, Nelson Mendoza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The UFC STEAUA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
