Hans Thees started the match with the kick off. When Marcel von Suttner fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Traktor Götz's protests and gave Marcel von Suttner a yellow card for diving instead. Marcel von Suttner hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Günther Heiß stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Șerban Damian's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Hans Thees received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marcel Anisie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Valentin Stătescu got a free kick in the 7th minute. Marcel von Suttner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Anisie having to interfere. Marcel von Suttner struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Marcel Anisie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Traktor Götz. Marcel Anisie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Pietsch's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Irinel Gheordunescu's late challenge caught a FC Traktor Götz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irinel Gheordunescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for DINAMO! Juan Pietsch walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Hans Thees's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcel Anisie firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of DINAMO booed when FC Traktor Götz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Länge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Traktor Götz's zone, Șerban Damian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Günther Heiß came out of the goal and Șerban Damian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Bâlea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Günther Heiß took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Damian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günther Heiß didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when DINAMO's Șerban Damian shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Șerban Damian took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Günther Heiß. Günther Heiß dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Șerban Damian made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes FC Traktor Götz got a freekick which was hit by Alex Daniel. In the 53rd minute Juan Pietsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Anisie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Traktor Götz's Günther Heiß proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save FC Traktor Götz from getting a goal against them. In the 59thth minute of the game Șerban Damian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Traktor Götz's Günther Heiß was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Șerban Damian sped through FC Traktor Götz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Günther Heiß. In the 83rdth minute of the game Basarab Bâlea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Traktor Götz's Günther Heiß was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Thees couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Bâlea in the 94th minute of play forced FC Traktor Götz's goalkeeper Günther Heiß to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Hans Thees's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Anisie was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched DINAMO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
