ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Francis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Balon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Muchachos del 86's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Prosperi was slow to take the kick. During this time ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi to fire away a dangerous shot which Atahan Balon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Atahan Balon, 1-0. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Francis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Atahan Balon firmly grabbed it by the left post. 22 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Asiz Soon came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Balon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 minutes, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Muchachos del 86 and the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Balon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Prosperi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atahan Balon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Prosperi came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miguel Prosperi in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Miguel Prosperi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atahan Balon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saverio Brion to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Saverio Brion who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 54 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Brion came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Muchachos del 86's goalkeeper Atahan Balon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Brion in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the Los Muchachos del 86 defense, Elpidio Francis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atahan Balon. The Los Muchachos del 86 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atahan Balon should have stopped the shot. In the 78th match minute, Los Muchachos del 86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Brion to maneuver through the defense. Los Muchachos del 86 made a substitution. Szymon Szkaradek replaced Asiz Soon. After 79 played minutes Los Muchachos del 86 got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Brion. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atahan Balon was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvestre Oinaz during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Oinaz. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Honesto in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Los Muchachos del 86 got a corner. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristian Urtzi ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Urtzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Branislav Velchevski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 96 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atahan Balon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
