But to his dismay, Elpidio Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Elpidio Francis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atila Edu. Riquelme Fútbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elpidio Francis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Atila Edu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elpidio Francis went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atila Edu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severo Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Branislav Velchevski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atila Edu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38thth minute of the game Elpidio Francis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riquelme Fútbol Club's Atila Edu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixto Ugaitz during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sixto Ugaitz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Genaro Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 47th minute of play forced Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Atila Edu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Riquelme Fútbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were winning 0-3.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Riquelme Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Atila Edu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genaro Suarez in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Branislav Velchevski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attentive Miguel Prosperi managed to snatch the ball when Sixto Ugaitz made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Oalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Oalo came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Francis in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Atila Edu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 73 played minutes Riquelme Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Ugaitz. Atila Edu made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Elpidio Francis sent off a good shot on target. Atila Edu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Riquelme Fútbol Club booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elpidio Francis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Elpidio Francis put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Atila Edu. Riquelme Fútbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Elpidio Francis scored to the left of an out of position Atila Edu, making the score, 0-5. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
