Frutos Mallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chesney Summers, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Курск ФК's Andrey Denisov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gary Ingram narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Korona Kielce got a freekick which was hit by Edi Carlo. 32 minutes into the match, Korona Kielce's goal looked a bit too open when Andrey Denisov came free, but Gary Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Gerry Furniss in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Курск ФК's Taras Baranov. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrey Denisov in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gary Ingram saved Korona Kielce from getting behind. The supporters of Korona Kielce booed when Курск ФК was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrey Denisov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrey Denisov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Курск ФК's Andrey Denisov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gary Ingram. That made the score 1-2 after 59 minutes of play. In the 62nd minute, Andrey Denisov made a precise shot to the right of Gary Ingram. Korona Kielce's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Frutos Mallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Firmino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korona Kielce's Marcin Cebula was substituted for Ivar Lilleeng. Курск ФК's Filimon Tarasov was substituted for Filipp Ilyin. 74 minutes into the game, Gerry Furniss threw the ball into play from the sideline. Курск ФК's Taras Baranov quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Курск ФК's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
