Sebastião Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lionel Richie might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Soccer Club Celans Foot's Sebastião Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Bernat in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lionel Richie in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Lionel Richie got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ernesto Guevara SyD's Beto Almada was substituted for Lionel Richie. Beto Almada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Catarinense having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Beto Almada fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernesto Guevara SyD's Beto Almada slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastião Catarinense. That made the score 0-3 after 70 minutes of play. Sebastião Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto Almada in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Soccer Club Celans Foot's goal looked a bit too open when Beto Almada came free, but Sebastião Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cacá Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the match was over Ernesto Guevara SyD could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Soccer Club Celans Foot throughout the match.
