The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goal looked a bit too open when Mikolaj Kicia came free, but Wart Hemeleers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arkadiusz Karps short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Wart Hemeleers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 6 minutes into the match, Mszczyczyn's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Uggla came free, but András Erdélyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. András Erdélyi came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Värdsholmen's Sven-Olof Tinglöv. But to his dismay, Sven-Olof Tinglöv quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Åkesson in the 14th minute of play forced Mszczyczyn's goalkeeper András Erdélyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arkadiusz Karp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evert Åkesson in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg András Erdélyi saved Mszczyczyn from getting behind. BK Värdsholmen's Birger Ahlkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beniamin Bienienda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wart Hemeleers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Mszczyczyn's András Erdélyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Uggla in the 37th minute of play. Arkadiusz Karp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Wart Hemeleers made a huge save. Evert Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mszczyczyn players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BK Värdsholmen were winning 0-1.
Mszczyczyn made a substitution. Zygmunt Pietrowicz replaced Beniamin Bienienda. The supporters of BK Värdsholmen booed when Mszczyczyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bennvar Falcon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mszczyczyn getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bennvar Falcon hit a great ball. After 61 minutes of play, Mszczyczyn's Arkadiusz Karp made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wart Hemeleers was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the game, Mszczyczyn's Mikolaj Kicia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wart Hemeleers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Wart Hemeleers came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Mszczyczyn's Zygmunt Pietrowicz. But to his dismay, Zygmunt Pietrowicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Birger Ahlkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bennvar Falcon in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wart Hemeleers saved BK Värdsholmen from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Pietrowicz in the 81st minute of play forced BK Värdsholmen's goalkeeper Wart Hemeleers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BK Värdsholmen's Wart Hemeleers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Karp in the 82nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herbert Petka during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, one of Mszczyczyn:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mszczyczyn. Kåre Käcker shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 88th match minute, BK Värdsholmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Uggla to maneuver through the defense. Mikolaj Kicia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, BK Värdsholmen's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Pietrowicz came free, but Wart Hemeleers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BK Värdsholmen's Wart Hemeleers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikolaj Kicia in the 95th minute of play. Wart Hemeleers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Kicia in the 97th minute of play. BK Värdsholmen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
