Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wilhelm Nienhaus started the match with the kick off. Wilhelm Nienhaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Edmund Makomaski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Aldo Paoletti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barça's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Paoletti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Jarstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Wilhelm Nienhaus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Makomaski was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. With a little luck, Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein got control of the ball when Pierre Dziedelonis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Makomaski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Edmund Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 45th minute of the match. Wilhelm Nienhaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Makomaski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Hertha 1969's Moritz Hasenjäger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edmund Makomaski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Barça players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hertha 1969 were winning 0-1.

Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Dziedelonis in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Barça's D.J. Premer got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Wilhelm Nienhaus put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edmund Makomaski. In the 60th minute, Emilio Melzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmund Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 72nd minute of the match. After 77 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Hasenjäger. Barça made a substitution. Krzysztof Gibowski replaced Rafal Jazowski. A collision led to Hertha 1969 getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Moritz Hasenjäger hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Edmund Dykes managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 87th minute of the match, Zé Paulo da Silva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmund Makomaski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Stefan Mayer got a free kick in the 91st minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hertha 1969 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
