In the 3rd minute Kaan Öztanır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Montaña in the 6th minute of the match. Sulo Montaña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alisson Becker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Sulo Montaña. George Buturugã made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Adrian Zbora sent off a good shot on target. In the 21stth minute Ahmet Hamdi Ortan beautifully dribbled past Buffalo Timişoara's defense and it looked for a moment as a certain goal, but Alisson Becker pulled off a phantom save to prevent the ball from scoring on his left hand side. 28 minutes into the match, LOI's Sulo Montaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alisson Becker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Semail Ilıca kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Buffalo Timişoara booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bektaş Veli Ülgü didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Semail Ilıca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buffalo Timişoara the free kick. In the 45th match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Semail Ilıca to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Turdeanu in the 46th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Augusto Benitez made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Turdeanu came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sulo Montaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Banciu to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sulo Montaña. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Özbay in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute LOI were awarded a corner. Habib Durukan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Habib Durukan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker did a great save. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgür Özbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Habib Durukan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alisson Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alisson Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sulo Montaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Habib Durukan in the 69th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Habib Durukan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alisson Becker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Buffalo Timişoara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Sulo Montaña scored to the left of an out of position Alisson Becker, making the score, 0-2. LOI made a substitution. Tayyip Taylan replaced Habib Durukan. Buffalo Timişoara's Alin Şantău was substituted for Maxim Pintilie. 79 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sulo Montaña. LOI's Kerimhan Cevher was substituted for Sulo Montaña. In the 92nd minute, Sulo Montaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. LOI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
