Petre Traian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Inautzi in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 7th minute of play forced Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Petre Traian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damaso Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardino Dimas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damaso Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Damaso Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bernardino Dimas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelino Inautzi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Gurutz came free, but Petre Traian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Sancho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Bernardino Dimas 38 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Marco Gurutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Traian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Rio Cuarto booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caleb Law didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution. Humberto Francesco replaced Fernando Bras. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Sancho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Iker Atarrabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Dimas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelino Inautzi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Petre Traian skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 55 played minutes Congo Bongo got a freekick which was hit by Wu Hong Ning. Gonzalo Cucho hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Petre Traian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Gurutz in the 66th minute of play. Edelmiro Endura made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelino Inautzi immediately put the ball in play. Bernabe Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bernardino Dimas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Atarrabi fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 85th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 85th match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Endura to maneuver through the defense. Congo Bongo's Özalp Yavuzalp couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Rio Cuarto. Edelmiro Endura made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelino Inautzi immediately put the ball in play. Arnaldo Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Bernardino Dimas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Petre Traian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelino Inautzi. There was no doubt that Congo Bongo were the better team. Congo Bongo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
