Damaso Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fu Feng Chong having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damaso Sancho in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fu Feng Chong saved AC米兰 from getting behind. Petre Traian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedict Sheppard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fu Feng Chong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Congo Bongo's Damaso Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fu Feng Chong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Petre Traian made an important save on a dangerous shot by 何威庭 in the 38th minute. Damaso Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Sancho in the 44th minute of play forced AC米兰's goalkeeper Fu Feng Chong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Damaso Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 何威庭 made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrew Specht during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AC米兰 booed when Congo Bongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. After 76 played minutes AC米兰 got a freekick which was hit by Hu Yong. Arnaldo Oidor might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fu Feng Chong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Oidor ran back to his position shaking his head. If Benedict Sheppard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC米兰's Benedict Sheppard got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fu Feng Chong narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
