INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Pepe Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Gierlach in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Hartz in the 14th minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Pepe Santoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes of play, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Petros Mousa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alonzo Cordarin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Modesto Cayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pepe Santoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Cayo in the 23rd minute of the match. Ivo Viveiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Cordarin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Inocente came free, but Pepe Santoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonzo Cordarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Qiang in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute Domingo Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Santoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Domingo Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Domingo Hartz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Santoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alonzo Cordarin came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's He Qiang. But to his dismay, He Qiang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Ernesto Bastiaro charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Bastiaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Crosmayo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Teofil Gierlach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's Petros Mousa in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Petros Mousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petros Mousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
