Jacinto Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Pankracy Glogowski made a huge save. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Neiva in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute Jacinto Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Matos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Xapetuba Futebol Clube defense, Eustaquio Jaizki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio do Valle. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio do Valle should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şevket Çağa in the 44th minute of play forced Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Célio do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Caradaro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Célio do Valle. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Célio do Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 47th minute of the match. In the 49th minute of the match Club Atlético Atlanta got a corner. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Chwalkiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Emil Chwalkiewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Célio do Valle quite easily take care of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şevket Çağa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Patrick Neiva. But to his dismay, Patrick Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 71st match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Jaizki to maneuver through the defense. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Neiva in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Berdoi during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Marcos Berdoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Emil Chwalkiewicz. Flávio Matos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Jacinto Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 79 played minutes Xapetuba Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Neiva. Amauri de Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri de Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amauri de Lima hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Flávio Matos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When Emil Chwalkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Chwalkiewicz couldn't finish the play. Patrick Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Marcos Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laerte Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
