The referee felt a red card was in order, 4 minutes into the game, when Lúcio Alves put in a rough tackle. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Diamonds FC! Diamonds FC:s Marcos Muc showed great skill when he stopped Mansour Al Ramzi:s penalty. In the 10th minute, Hakem Khorshed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Golden Tigers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Allan Machado put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mohammad Al Ateqi. Mohammad Al Ateqi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Paquette, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Abdul Rahman Al Youha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcos Muc firmly grabbed it by the left post. Naem Al Khaled hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Ernesto Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mohammad Al Ateqi skillfully saved the ball. Hakkı Devrim Şenaltan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Marcos Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talal Al Sallal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Diamonds FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mansour Al Ramzi was slow to take the kick. During this time Golden Tigers's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Abdul Rahman Al Youha got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Abdul Rahman Al Youha got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Golden Tigers. Marcos Muc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hakem Khorshed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Muc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdul Rahman Al Youha in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Diamonds FC's Sidnei Salles got a free kick in the 38th minute. Marcos Muc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Talal Al Sallal, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Diamonds FC's Marcos Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Khorshed in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Paquette stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sidnei Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamonds FC's Marcos Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Khorshed in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Hakem Khorshed cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marcos Muc was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mohammad Al Ateqi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Allan Machado in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mansour Al Ramzi in the 63rd minute of play forced Diamonds FC's goalkeeper Marcos Muc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Ernesto Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ameer Ashkanani charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ameer Ashkanani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Golden Tigers's Mohammad Al Ateqi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Tigers from getting a goal against them. Diamonds FC's Marcos Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Khorshed in the 76th minute of play. When Golden Tigers's Hakem Khorshed in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Diamonds FC's goalie prevented a goal. Mohammad Al Ateqi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Paquette in the 77th minute. Diamonds FC's Marcos Muc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakem Khorshed in the 80th minute of play. Marcos Muc came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Tigers's Abdul Rahman Al Youha. But to his dismay, Abdul Rahman Al Youha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Marcos Muc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakem Khorshed went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Abdul Rahman Al Youha hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Abdul Rahman Al Youha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
