The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dolf Van Acht hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Anthonio Van Bets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Meira came free, but Anthonio Van Bets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Sanches got free with Anthonio Van Bets in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goalkeeper Anthonio Van Bets had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Vianna. With a little luck, Kickers United's Anthonio Van Bets got control of the ball when Rui Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robbrecht Jonckers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diamantino Senna saved Futbol Club RRFV from getting behind. Anthonio Van Bets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Luís Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes Futbol Club RRFV's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexander Dewinter who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Kickers United getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Robbrecht Jonckers hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Kickers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolf Van Acht to maneuver through the defense. Dolf Van Acht kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Jannic Van Cruchten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The Futbol Club RRFV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Futbol Club RRFV's Diamantino Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Dewinter in the 58th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Adilson Meira sped through Kickers United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anthonio Van Bets. In the 61st match minute, Futbol Club RRFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Ulisses Matos made a precise shot to the right of Anthonio Van Bets. Kickers United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 67th minute Adilson Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthonio Van Bets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Dewinter shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Marnix Maseur fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kickers United's protests and gave Marnix Maseur a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th match minute, Kickers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marnix Maseur to maneuver through the defense. Anthonio Van Bets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Futbol Club RRFV had played much better football throughout.
